A Day in Honor of Marc Chambers

WHEREAS, Marc Chambers is retiring from the Nevada Department of Public Safety - Nevada State Polce on November 2, 2026, after over 25 years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Marc started his career with the State of Nevada at the Department of Public Safety, Division of Highway Patrol on September 10, 2001; and

WHEREAS, Marc transferred to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation on September 10, 2004, and has served the people of the State of Nevada in various roles including DPS Trooper, DPS Officer and DPS Sergeant; and

WHEREAS, Marc has admirably and steadfastly performed his duties while also showing great compassion for others, both those he served and his peers; and 

WHEREAS, Marc has had a remarkable career in public service and has left a mark on those who had the opportunity to work with him; and 

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation, and the State of Nevada join his friends, family and colleagues in expressing our sincere appreciation for his 25 years of distinguished service to the residents of our Silver State. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 2, 2026, as a day in honor of
